Welcome to my home page.

Software Projects:

Free E-Text Viewer. ETextViewer is a little VB app that can be used to read large electronic text files.  It allows complete customisation of the viewing environment, saving of user preferences and last file position, and also performs a reformatting task to remove annoying hard returns.  Works with Win 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP.

VERSION 2.1.2 Now Available - September 2002!
ETextViewer's latest upgrade includes a new bug fixes for a file-opening problem that cropped up recently.

Anyone who has ever had to try to work out X,Y-values for a graph saved as a picture will find this little VB app useful :).  It allows the user to enter in three mouse positions and their values and thereafter when the mouse is moved around the graph, the tool-tip gives the scaled values.  FREEWARE - Windows 95/98/NT- Download Now (zipped file, 13kB)

Other Software:

My favorite C++ programmer has written a neat little Shareware app to check multiple POP3 mailboxes and whack spam before it gets downloaded - Click here to visit the PopScan homepage

Macros for MS Excel / Word:  Drop me an email & we can negotiate a price.

Recommended Freeware (the stuff that's in daily use)
Editor2 - Super-slick text editor: tiny, fast, and it disappears at the click of the Escape key.

Calc98 - As an engineer, I have never come across a more useful PC calculator, especially not one with built in unit conversions.  Make yourself a keyboard shortcut to this calculator, you won't regret it!

IrfanView - One could not ask for more in an image viewing program.

TClockEx - A cool little app to put the date in the taskbar next to the clock.  Thanks Dale!

Setup Generator - This program that allowed me to reduce the size of my ETextViewer install files by almost 50%.

On the subject of Freeware, I used to think that I'd forever be dogged by illegal copies of expensive applications that I couldn't live without.  Then a friend introduced me to the Completely Free Software site which had all sorts of wonderful applications - stuff I hadn't even thought of yet - and all for free.   What a wonderful concept :) you should give it a try if you haven't already.  And don't forget FreewareHome for a wider selection of applications but without ratings.

Another interesting freeware project:
